Anti Extremist Cell (AEC) of CID police on Friday arrested three activists of banned outfit Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and recovered cache of arms from their possession during a raid at Mangopir area near Noorani hotel in the jurisdiction of Manghopir police station. The accused were identified as Mubashir Khan, son of Yousuf, Kostal Khan, son of Mohammad Khan and Risalat Khan, son of Khan.

Police recovered 2 Kalashnikovs, 3 hand grenades, 1 TT pistol and several bullets. CID said that during initial course of investigation it has been revealed that arrested accused belonged to banned TTP Sher Khan Group. CID said that the accused used to collect extortion money from business community in city for TTP. It said that accused had collected million of rupees and sent to Mehmand Agency for Qari Sher. In another raid at Shershah area CID also arrested accused Gul Hassan and recovered a TT pistol from his possession. He was proclaimed absconder under section number 353,324/34 of FIR.
